Having been inaugurated in the year 1955, the Moot Court Association of Government law College is the oldest Mooting Association in the country that singularly coordinates all mooting activities at GLC and plays an imperative role in honing advocacy skills of the students. As an annual tradition the Moot Court Association (MCA) hosts the globally renowned D.M Harish Memorial International Moot Court Competition and the reputed Nani Palkhivala National Tax Moot Court Competition, apart from 3 smaller but nonetheless established Inter-University moots. The MCA also conducts the prestigious intra-college Grand Moot Court Competition and several Common Eliminations through the year, in order to ensure that students participate at various City, State, National and International Moot Court Competitions. Additionally, the MCA conducts various workshops, judgment analysis sessions, the Demonstration Moot Court and the Freshers’ Moot Court Competition.
Our objective is not restricted to winning a few elite moots, but we strive to offer every student at the Government Law College a valuable experience of mooting, be it the smallest city-level moot or the most prestigious international moot.
